01.03.05 -
A bit windy in Pearland today. I decided to try a sunset
flight on Hwy. 288, just south of Hwy. 6. At about 5:15
p.m. the wind started to settle down. I took off into a
SE wind that was blowing about 10 mph. I had the DV camera
rolling with 2 lipstick case camera's on my helmet. One
a standard lens and the other a wide angle fish eye lens.
There were plenty of onlookers that pulled over to watch
as I flew around the rice fields near Hwy. 288. I was up
for about 45 minutes and the strobe light I recently added
to my paraglider was blinking brightly as I landed a good
20 minutes or so past sunset. It was a great flight, and
a pretty sunset. More to Come...
